The Way Home: Episode 53 featuring Jim Gash
Today I am excited to be joined by Jim Gash. Jim is the Director of the Global Justice Program and Professor of Law at Pepperdine School of Law, a Christian law school in Malibu, California. Professor Gash is the author of an exciting new book titled Divine Collision: An African Boy, an American Lawyer, and Their Remarkable Battle for Freedom. This book tells the amazing true story of how after a series of God-orchestrated events, Jim found himself in Africa defending a Ugandan boy wrongfully accused of two separate murders. As we’ll discuss with Professor Gash on today’s podcast, this case ultimately led to the reforming of Uganda’s criminal justice system, effecting hundreds of thousands of lives. We will talk about this incredible case as well as Gash’s continued work as Specialist Advisor to the Ugandan High Court, his work as a lawyer in Los Angeles, and the mission of the Global Justice Program at Pepperdine School of Law.
